Organized at Lexland Lawyers’ Marbella offices at Ricardo Soriano 21, the Summer Cocktail attracted over a 100 people, including Ms. Charmaine Arbouin – British Consul and Derek Langley – Regional Vice-President of Andalucia for the British Chambers of Commerce in Spain, senior managers and partners from Costa del Sol´s top Real Estate and Construction agencies, Banks, Wealth Management firms from Spain and Gibratlar and several entities from Tourism and Hospitality sector, making it a truly stand out networking event.

One of the hottest topics of the evening was of course Britain´s recent decision to leave the EU. Whilst the outcome and the consequences of the vote are yet to be announced, most would agree that the ties between the United Kingdom and Spain in particular are too strong to be affected both in the short and the long run. Therefore, the Summer Cocktail served as a great a great platform to further strengthen the institutional ties between Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as the main associations of entrepreneurs on the Costa del Sol, as this area is home to one of the largest communities of expatriate Britons in the world.

Last Thursday, July 2, 2015, Lexland Lawyers, faithful to its multicultural character and in support of its institutional relationships, organized the 2nd Annual Summer Cocktail in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce.

Organized at Lexland Lawyers’ Marbella offices at Ricardo Soriano 21, the Summer Cocktail attracted over a 100 people, including the regional President of British Chambers of Commerce, senior managers and partners from Costa del Sol’s top Real Estate and Construction agencies, Banks and several entities from Tourism and Hospitality sector, making it a truly stand out networking event.

Lexland Lawyers was a guest speaker at the BSLA Annual Conference in Palma de Mallorca, which took place on May 14-16, 2015. Our lawyer, Carlota Fernandez, was a guest speaker at the conference and had the opportunity to comment on comparative study of communications between lawyers of England and Wales, and Spain alongside Thirty Park Place Chambers.

The objective of this conference was to provide legal professionals with the necessary knowledge on the main issues related to Anglo-Spanish jurisdictions. Given the importance of uk customer among professionals, the conference had a strong impact, strenghtening relations between the two countries.

Lexland Lawyers participates as a guest speaker at the first Law Fair – “Acercando la calle a la clase” organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Malaga, which takes place on 12^th -13^th  March, 2015 at the Faculty of Law.

Our Labor Lawyer, Carmen Rodriguez, will give a presentation to students on what is the role of new technologies when it comes to dismissal. The presentation takes place from 12.00 to 12.45 on 12^th March, 2015.

This first exhibition is an initiative of the Faculty of Law of the University of Málaga where public and private organizations, as well as students meet to share their needs, priorities, hopes and opportunities.

The core objective of this fair is on the one hand to provide exhibitors an opportunity to come into contact with students throughout the course of their studies and secondly, allow students the opportunity to learn about the employment opportunities offered by the exhibiting companies.

On the 6th and 7th of September, Lexland Lawyers participated in one of Stockholm´s most important fairs, “Purchasing a Property Abroad”. The event took place in Kistamässan, Torshamnsgatan 18, 164 40 Kista and represented a unique opportunity to see an enormous selection of properties and to become acquainted with all the legal aspects related to the purchase of housing abroad.

The event was a great success. More than 4.500 people from different nationalities attended, expressing their interest in buying a property in another country. As expected, Spain was one of the most popular countries and our stand received a great many visits.

Last Thursday, the 3rd of July 2014, Lexland Lawyers, faithful to its multicultural character and in support of its institutional relationships, organized the first in a series of Summer Cocktail Events in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce.

At the event, organized at the offices of Lexland Lawyers, Ricardo Soriano 21, around 90 people participated. The institutional representation and the support received from the Regional British Consul, her grace Mrs. Charmaine Arbouin, the Regional British Vice-Consul, Mrs. Rosslyn Crotty, the Councillor of Tourism of Marbella´s Town Hall, Mr. José Luis Hernández, and the President of the CIT Marbella, Mr. Juan José González, were especially noteworthy.

The purpose of the event was to strengthen institutional ties between Lexland and the British Chamber of Commerce, the Town Hall of Marbella and the main associations of entrepreneurs on the Costa del Sol, as this is the place where the largest community of expatriate Britons in the world resides.
